Wow!! I can’t believe it is already May. This is a very busy month. Iwould like to thank you for the great attendance at Open House and the School Musical. Our Mother’s Day Tea was wonderful. The children loved learning songs and poems for their Moms.
May is assessment time in kindergarten. The children are ‘Showing What They Know’ in language arts and math. Continue to read, write, spell, and practice math skills at home. The following are some important dates to put on your calendar.
May 22nd- Beach Party on the kindergarten playground
May 29th- Tricky Tray- The theme for our tray is Family Movie Night.
June 3rd- Kindergarten Celebration at 10:30 in the cafeteria

Welcome back from spring break. Spring is one of the best times in kindergarten. Each child’s learning and confidence is blooming just like a garden full of beautiful flowers. They are so excited to “Show what they know”.
In science we are learning about animals and plants. We are discovering though books and observations what living things need, water, food, air and shelter. We are watching the life cycle of the butterfly. This is so exciting to watch the caterpillars grow and grow and the create their chrysalis. We are counting the days until the butterflies are born. Come and see our new babies. We are also planting beans and observing the changes.
The children are publishing their stories into book form. This is very exciting time to share their work with others. We continue to read, read, and read. Look for some April stories on our web site.
